Commission on Higher Education

The CHED Scholarship Programs provide financial support to eligible students, ensuring access to a quality higher education. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) launched this effort to help and empower students in reaching their academic and professional goals.

  1. Underprivileged and homeless citizens (RA 7279);
  2. Persons with Disability (RA 7277); and
  3. Solo parents and/or their dependents (RA 8371).

This scholarship is open for incoming freshmen who want to pursue their undergraduate studies in any CHED recognized priority programs in private higher education institutions (HEIs) or State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs).

A qualified student may be awarded a full or partial scholarship under the State Scholarship and Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA). The financial assistance may cover tuition and other fees, as well as a monthly stipend for living expenses.

Overall, the CMSP is a valuable opportunity for promising Filipino students to pursue their higher education goals without having to worry about the financial burden.

Scholarship Program for Coconut Farmers and their Families Application closed Legal Bases: RA No. 11524, “The Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund Act” Implementing Guidelines: CHED-PCA Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, s. 2023
  1. The scholarship program aims to raise social equity of coconut farmers and ultimately alleviate poverty through the provision of quality education to coconut farmers and/or their dependents;
  2. The scholarship program is ultimately expected to improve agricultural productivity and modernization in the coconut industry by raising the knowledge of coconut farmers and/or their dependents on scientific advances in agricultural technology and other related fields and motivate the younger generation to be engaged in the agriculture sector.
Coverage:

The scholarship program shall be accessible to qualified and deserving coconut farmers and/or their families duly registered under the National Coconut Farmers Registry System.

The program shall cover undergraduate students who will enroll or currently enrolled in agriculture, agricultural engineering, agribusiness management, agricultural economics and other courses identified by the PCA.

ACEF-GIAHEP Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund - Grants-in-Aid for Higher Education Program Accepting applications until August 15, 2024 Objectives:

The Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund - Grants-in-Aid for Higher Education Program (ACEF-GIAHEP) aims to promot the development of agriculture and fisheries by increasing the number of graduates in higher education who are trained in the scientific habit of thought, entrepreneurial skills and technical competencies in the areas of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary medicine education.

Coverage:

The ACEF-GIAHEP is open to qualified and deserving undergraduate students who will enroll or are currently enrolled in any CHED recognized higher education institution in the areas of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, veterinary medicine education and related agricultural education programs.
